8x10in print of an original drawing

This Goldfinch was drawn in loving memory of my Poppy. My childhood was filled with afternoons sitting on the porch and watching birds and chipmunks. I especially remember the gold finches that would frequent my grandparent's back yard. After my Poppy was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, memories faded for him but a big source of joy for him was coloring and drawing birds. This drawing symbolizes my memories of my Poppy as well as the ability to connect with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's, even in lieu of the language and memory to do so.

This October 14th, I will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in honor of Poppy. As a fundraiser, I am selling this limited edition print, with all proceeds being donated to the Alzheimer's Association through my team "Lefty's Legacy". The Alzheimer's Association is committed to bettering lives of people affected by Alzheimer's, including patients and caretakers, as well as supporting research efforts.
