Last week, my mom and I took a day trip to NYC to visit the MoMA and to try some fun food at the Bryant Park Holiday Market. I can attest that every bite illustrated above was delicious. From the first latte to the Last Crumb, I documented everything we ate throughout the day. The best bite award goes to the raclette sandwich from The Baked Cheese Haus. It was the longest wait of the day but also the most entertaining, as we watched the wheel of cheese bubble under the broiler before being scraped onto freshly toasted bread.
Because we went on a weekday, the market was pleasantly bustling without being overwhelming. We'd walk by prospective options, and there was always an eager attendee in line ready to tell us what they were waiting for. I loved seeing people so excited about food and the holidays and spending time together enjoying the park, whether they were shopping, eating, or ice skating.
This month, members of my Patreon who are subscribed to the Postcard Squad tier will receive a bonus zine of these illustrations, along with the card of the month! You can check out my Patreon here if you're interested in learning more and if you'd like to subscribe yourself. I'll be posting the holiday card design over there later this week. Stay tuned!
