I'm very excited to share this latest project, and not just because I had a lot of fun making this art. This work is extra special because it was made for my brother, Mark's wedding! I collaborated with NewKru Designs on the invitations; they designed the layouts and production, and I created the illustrations. I made illustrations for the invitation, the events and details card, the envelope interior, matchbox takeaways, the night before welcome sign, a program that doubled as a fan for the guests during the outdoor ceremony, signature cocktail illustrations, and an illustrated map to go in the welcome bag and on a sign for the guests to write a message on.
For the invitations, I illustrated native New England wildflowers for the border. I loved Sarah's request to have an illustration of their dog, Piper, holding champagne glasses on her back. That addition became one of my favorite features of their wedding suite.

I had so much fun illustrating this map. My brother is so proud of living and working in West Hartford, CT, and it's where he and Sarah met and developed their beautiful relationship. I included the wedding venue, their recommendations for guests to visit during downtime, and a few key attractions. Also, if you look closely, you can see Mark and Sarah, and their dog, Piper, enjoying their favorite places! Per Mark's request, I included the two rival high schools in town, both of which he works at (go Conard basketball!)

I'm so grateful to be able to contribute to people's weddings in this specific way. It's an honor when people have a vision for my work and want to incorporate it into their special days. Of course, it was extra meaningful to collaborate with two people I care so much about. Congratulations, Mark and Sarah!
I also want to give a big shoutout to Move Mountains Co for these beautiful photos!
